From David Moscovich: I must have been about 18, but somehow managed to write songs which were compelling enough to sustain a small local following, mostly starting in chuck's garage but moving to the Red and Black Cafe -- and -- those are blurry, blurry days for me but as I remember it we played there quite often during the short life of the Red and Black-- the Rred and Black cafe -- some of the other regulars there were Yellow Nut Sedge, Gregory, Liberation Surrealist Duo and of course DJ Corky Nine and the Courdoroy Love Tabernacle Choir!!!!!, they were truly amazing.... it was a temporary autonomous zone a la hakim bey, if you know his writings.
