This eclectic band is famous for creating the music for the NETV documentary on Claus Oldenberg and his sculpture "Torn Notebook" which was installed on the UNL campus.

Howlooseanation has more instruments, and more exotic instruments, than any other Lincoln band, by far. Which other band owns a Danmo (Vietnamese), a Theremin (of Bob Moog's design), synthesizers, a Hammond organ, a toy piano, slide whistles, harmonicas, bells, and dozens of other exotic "world" instruments?

After each show, the audience inevitably crowds around, eager to see and learn about the exotic instruments, of which the members happilly demonstrate. Each member plays over a dozen instruments, which is why they aren't listed with each member...

All music is their own, and not written down. Each weekly jam session is recorded, however. Each member plays pretty much whatever they feels fits.

Howlooseanation has performed for openings at the Sheldon Art Gallery, and as part of the parks & recreation department's summer concerts at the Antelope Park bandshell, and put on many shows at the Wagon Train Project's 7th Street Loft, including their annual Halloween shows. Some show titles: "6x12" (1999), "Der Golem 1999" (1999), and "Inspace" (2000).
