From Ross Schlesinger - Los chincos were around from like summer 96?-new years eve 98. It started off in columbus/duncan, NE. as just theron and myself. We played our first show in my parent's kitchen to our friends. It was just bass and drums power violence music. We didn't really practice for about 6 months and played a few shows. We recorded a demo after about 6 months and then started practicing. We then got Phil Mayben to play Keyboards/noise at some shows. He was around for a bit just being drunk and throwing stuff at us while we would play shows. We started playing a bunch of shows in linocoln then decided to do another demo tape. This time with much better sounding songs. We played a bunch of shows with tons of touring bands like Assuck, Reversal Of Man, Erishkigal, The Inifinity Dive, Fagatron, Armatron, The Scientific Method....we also set up lots of shows at our house in Lincoln called the pi house. we then got Ian Whitmore to play Keyboards for us and some backup Vocals. Phil moved to second bass. We started playing shows regularly in Lincoln, Omaha and Norfolk. We ended up having two demos and tracks on two different compilations out of NewYork and Illinois. I can't remember exact on those. We were suppose to do a split with Godstomper out of the Bay area. We played our last show at the Cog Factory on new years eve 1998. Theron had moved to Denver and about two weeks later Wasteoid started. Theron visited here once and we recorded one more demo as Shredding Assholes aka Los Chincos. We were on one accidental therapy comp tape. It was sweet. Thats about all I can give i guess. It was quite the band and experience.
