Bernie McGinn on shows that stand out in his memory...
7/7/1983 = JFA/Baby Hotline - The First brickyard show, and my 13th Birthday. They put "bernie's big birthday bash" on the flyer. JFA's drummer had spiked hair. I was in punk rock heaven.

Power of the Spoken Word - In general. Maybe it was being an impressionable 15 year old kid, but they were so intense. Being 15 and getting arrested at the last Brickyard show for Failure to disburse.

Bikini Kill at the Culture Center. They only had a tape out at the time and played to 20 or 30 people. Really confrontational - and great.

Jawbreaker, Tribe 8, Rocket from the Crypt, Phleg Camp @ Red and Black

Spinanes, Tsunami, Mercy Rule @ Duffys

All the Caulfield bands. It was a great time.

Shows at Shakes were a lot of fun, especially seeing people whip together a band the week before and play their stuff.
