The nucleus of the Band was John Carlini, and Mark Harper who were the Lenin and McCartney (so to speak of the band). Carlini, and Kuberski were true jazz heads, and Sistek was a great Percussionist with a firm understanding of all kinds of music. Harper was not a GREAT player persay, but he was a rather interesting performer. His feature songs were: "I wanna be Like BB King", I dreamed I was a woman" We played almost entirely all original music.

Carlini wrote a tune called "Coffee" , that had us sounding a bit like talking heads, amongst others. But our sound was quite full and .. .quite unique.

Eric Shanks was actually the manager of the band, and he also ran around on stage as we allowed it. He was not that musical.

I was the Bass player and was not that great or shitty. My role was to mediate all the varying and eccentric personalities.

I think our first gig was at the Student Union. Then, thereafter we played at the famous Drumstick a few times. We also played other parties and stuff I probably don't remember

I was working at "Waterbed World" on about 19th and O and the guys (Carlini & Kuberski) came in and fired me to be replaced by John Link (a far better musician than I was). Shortly thereafter, I was also fired from Waterbed World for sleeping behind the cash register. - Martin Pugh
